Created on a trip to a town in the Bay Area of California, this project marked a turning point in my view of suburban living.
Having grown up in a British town, I’ve spent a long time photographing the suburbs of my hometown and places I visit in the UK, often depicting them as stifling and mundane.
It was through daily walks exploring the new enviroment in the US that I found beauty in the slower pace of life, and a sense of calm and quiteness in the images I captured.

The book features 52 colour images in a hardback book.
It also comes with a series of 4 postcards depicitng other images from my trip.
